Notice version demo-2026-10-21.1

Privacy in the NiaBend demo

The NiaBend demo is free and lets you get to know the software before you subscribe. In exchange, it sends NiaBend the software’s usage data, linked to your website account. This notice explains what is sent, what for, for how long and how to withdraw your acceptance.

Sending the usage data is the condition for using the demo (Brazilian LGPD, art. 9, § 3): without your acceptance, the demo does not open. You can withdraw your acceptance at any time (art. 8, § 5); the demo then stops working and stops sending. The full software, for license holders, does not depend on this.

Demo usage

Understand how the demo is used — what people do, where they stop and what they look for in the paid plan — to improve the product and so that our sales team can talk to the people trying it.

Counters of screens and completed actions (new and saved parts, simulations with and without collision, tools created), the demo limits you reached, the paid features you tried to open, clicks on "See plans", estimated active time per 6-hour slot, the software version and a random installation code. Everything is sent with the proof of your demo license and, through it, is linked to your account (name, e-mail and company from your registration). From the connection IP address, the server estimates the approximate country and state.

Demo license and presence

Issue, renew and check the demo license of your computer, and end the demo when it is discontinued.

The machine code, the license issued to it, the software version and periodic presence contacts, as in the full software. Each account can have the demo on up to 3 computers.

Announcement

Show, when the demo opens, the announcement published by NiaBend: news, plans and offers.

The software asks for the announcement in its language, with the installed version and the proof of the demo license. It counts views and button clicks of each announcement per day and sends those numbers with the demo usage.

What stays out

We do not send drawings, parts, programs, tooling, machines, file names or paths, typed text, screenshots, error messages or diagnostic logs. The files you create in the demo stay on your computer.

The software does not send GPS, city or address. The IP address is used only at upload time to estimate country and state in a local GeoIP database, and it is not stored in the usage tables.

Condition of use and legal basis

The demo is offered free of charge in exchange for the usage data described here. Processing is based on your consent, given when the demo first opens, after you see this notice. Because sending is the condition for using the demo, this is stated prominently before you accept (LGPD, art. 9, § 3).

Your acceptance is recorded with the date, the version of this notice and the demo license of the computer. A new acceptance is requested when this notice changes materially.

Withdrawing your acceptance and your rights

To withdraw your acceptance, use Settings → General → Privacy in the demo. Collection and sending stop, the pending data on the computer is deleted and the demo stops working until you accept again.

Withdrawing does not delete what the site has already received. To request access to, correction or deletion of the data linked to your account, contact the privacy support below; we verify the request before providing or deleting data.

Retention and storage

On the computer, pending usage data is kept for up to 30 days. On the site, demo usage and announcement figures are kept for up to 12 months from the day of each record; the record of your acceptance is kept while usage linked to it exists and for up to 12 months after the last one. After that, only aggregated and anonymous statistics remain, with no link to your account: per day and month, how many installations used the demo and for how long, by approximate location, and each announcement’s figures. Delivery receipts, without a copy of the data, are kept for 31 days to prevent duplicates.

Backup retention and hosting are described in the website privacy policy.

When the demo ends

NiaBend may discontinue the demo at any time, with or without a scheduled date. Once discontinued, the demo stops opening within 7 days and stops sending data. The files you created remain on your computer and open in the full software.
